Oberon Entertainment is pleased to announce that as of January
27, 2004, FULL RIDE is in North American DVD/VHS home video
distribution. The marketing campaign will begin with placing
the film in all major rental outlets (Hollywood Video, Blockbuster,
etc.) and will be available for sale at $24.99. As
traditionally done, after the initial rental outlet release, the
$24.99 retail price will be reduced for sell-through at retail
stores across the United States and Canada.
FULL RIDE’s home video distributor,
Ardustry Home Entertainment, is a new force in the distribution of
quality entertainment to home video/DVD, broadcast, satellite and
cable television markets worldwide. After only a few months since
its launch, Ardustry Home Entertainment boasts an impressive
portfolio of nearly 200 quality theatricals in all major
categories, as well as over 4,000 hours of television programming
for television, cable and home video/DVD distribution markets
worldwide.
The key behind Ardustry’s rapid rise to
prominence is its stellar management team of recognized industry
professionals, led by Chief Executive Officer Cheryl A.
Freeman. With over 15 years experience in home video and
television, Freeman has served in senior-level roles with several
high-profile independent entertainment leaders prior to joining
Ardustry.
Freeman is enthusiastic about FULL RIDE both
artistically and for its commercial potential. She also
states that this assessment does not include the possible benefits
from the additional exposure and popularity of FULL RIDE’s
star Riley Smith. Freeman says, “We have high hopes for
FULL RIDE both because it is a good film and because more
importantly, Riley Smith has a very loyal and enthusiastic fan base
that should continue to increase.”
Riley was a featured player for the first
eight episodes of the hit FOX show “24.”
He played the carrier of a terrorist planted deadly virus that may
destroy LA making him a central focus of the show. He is
alternating filming “24” with an even bigger
feature film where he is the romantic lead opposite the Olsen Twins
in their first theatrical feature film New York
Minute. Riley’s major role opposite Cuba Gooding,
Jr. and Ed Harris in Radio has put him in the media
spotlight. He is in the midst of dozens of national
magazine and TV interviews where he has agreed to plug FULL RIDE
whenever possible.
