Attorney George Krauss Joins Oberon Board

The board members of Oberon Entertainment Properties, LLC at their November 12th meeting elected Omaha lawyer and businessman George H. Krauss to to join them on the Board. Mr. Krauss joins current Oberon board members Thompson Rogers, Chairman, Andy Anderson and Mark Hoeger, Co-Presidents and members-at-large, Richard Dooling and Michael Hill.
Mr. Krauss brings to the Oberon Board his decades of experience as an groundbreaking attorney who has created innovative finance instruments and guided startup companies that have gone on to great success. Important to Oberon, his work includes entertainment industry finance.
Mr. Krauss serves as an attorney of counsel to Kutak Rock, a national law firm with over 300 lawyers headquartered on Omaha, Nebraska. He practiced law with Kutak Rock since 1972 and served as the managing partner of the firm from 1983 to 1993. In the early 1980?s Kutak Rock helped form Silver Screen Partners I and II which allowed individual investors to participate as limited partners in numerous film projects including the funding of Disney?s Touchstone Pictures.
In 1996 Mr. Krauss became an independent business consultant to America First Companies. In addition to his legal education, Mr. Krauss has a Masters of Business Administration and is a registered Professional Engineer. Mr. Krauss serves as a director of Gateway, Inc. and of America First Mortgage Investments, Inc, both listed on the NYSE, as well as America First Real Estate Partners, L.P. America First Tax Exempt Investors, L.P., and West Corporation, all of which are listed on the NASDAQ.
Mr. Krauss is an investor in Oberon Film#1, a single purpose limited liability company, which is producing the feature film FULL RIDE. Oberon Film#1 was established and is managed by Oberon Entertainment Properties, LLC. FULL RIDE is in the final stages of post-production. It will be distributed to a worldwide television and video market by California based Porchlight Entertainment. In the next few weeks FULL RIDE will enter the market for potential distribution to movie theaters.
Oberon Entertainment Properties has begun the process of forming a multi-million-dollar fund to finance the production of multiple motion pictures and to acquire other entertainment properties. It is also working with the Nebraska Department of Economic Development to improve the competitiveness of Nebraska?s film production infrastructure. Oberon has taken the lead in raising private funds to match state funds for an independent study that would make recommendations on specific actions that can be taken by state government and the private sector to increase film production in Nebraska.
