Oberon Entertainment Properties of Omaha, has signed a distribution agreement with California-based PORCHLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT for its first feature film production. PORCHLIGHT has acquired exclusive rights to sell the film into all foreign and video/TV domestic markets. "The agreement means that we will have access to markets before we start shooting," says Andy Anderson, co-president of Oberon, "That's a very enviable position for most independent production companies."
The film is titled "Full Ride." Aimed at the lucrative teen market, it is a love story set against the background of a high school all-star football camp. The hero is a gifted athlete whose troubled past will keep the audience wondering if he will end up in the hall of fame or a house of corrections. "It is a well-crafted script by one of Hollywood's hottest writers," says Porchlight President and CEO Dr. Bruce Johnson, "We feel that it is a great story that while aimed at teens will be moving to all audiences."
